Beth Howland (Vera)

Beth Howland (May 28, 1941 - Dec. 31, 2015) passed away recently from natural causes.

Howland, who was best known for playing Vera, a flighty waitress, on the ’70s and ’80s sitcom “Alice,” died in Santa Monica on December 31, 2015 at age 74. Her husband, actor Charles Kimbrough, confirmed her death to the Associated Press, revealing that the actress died from lung cancer. Howland did not want a service, funeral or memorial.
